Undiscovered Scotland<p>Tolquhon Castle near Pitmedden in Aberdeenshire. This is a remarkably complete courtyard castle that was built in the 1580s around an earlier tower dating back to the very beginning of the 1400s. Undiscovered Scotland<p>The Aikey Brae Stone Circle stands in a wonderfully secluded location at the summit of Parkhouse Hill near Maud and is the most original, complete, and "unimproved" stone circle on view in northern Aberdeenshire. Tim ☑️ 🔭🌃📷🚴🌳<p>HMS Erne</p><p>HMS *Erne*, a River-class destroyer, measuring 225 feet in length and displacing 567 tons, was powered by twin vertical triple-expansion steam engines and four Reed water-tube boilers, delivering 7,000 horsepower and a top speed exceeding 26 knots.
