Whistling Treason<p>Some years ago I built this sweet little 4w valve amp, based on a <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Fender" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Fender</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/5F1" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>5F1</span></a> circuit. This weekend I gave it 3 coats of shellac, to get that classic Fender tweed vibe. I was so happy with the results that I got out the <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Fuji" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Fuji</span></a> camera, put on a vintage Soviet <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Helios" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Helios</span></a> lens and took a few sun dappled shots. I now envy the relicing team at Fender, who I imagine sit around smoking, drinking coffee and inhaling the rich walnut aroma of turpentine and <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/shellac" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>shellac</span></a> all day.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/valve" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>valve</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/amplifier" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>amplifier</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/guitaramp" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>guitaramp</span></a></p>
