#3GoodThings (early-due-to-headache edition)
• Did a coffee concert today. Seemed to go well. No one complained afterwards, which is always a plus.
• No one complained during it either.
• Got to play with some of my favourite musicians

1. prepared a simple plate: tomato, cucumber, smoked tofu, left over gözleme (this variant is like croissant but big and flat like pizza) and then i made a bowl of banana slices+pb+frozen blueberry, it's like a messy cake.
2. ordered some veggies and planned some meals.
3. watched some more Pat a mat episodes, they are hilarious. If you want to give it a go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVjbFbOx7Ls
1) Was visited by a solitary bee while watering the plants on the balcony.
2) Moved through big stuff gently.
3) Stayed creative.
Practising peace.
Yours?

#3GoodThings for 7.10.25:
* Didn't miss Static's birthday #ACNH
* Lovely dinner out
* Finished Gideon the Ninth for the second time.
Yesterday's #rebs3Things:
1 Eggplant Pizza in it's very best condition [it varies at our fav delivery but in an acceptable range - it was overwhelmingly great!].
2 The insight that I can go on cheap solo vacations/"retreats" almost anytime I want or need them bc well, they're cheap - and I'm only working for myself now.
3 Received [and OK, read a 1000 times, approx] the possibly best letter of my life; and it was written with non-blue/-black but yes: ink.
#3GoodThings EOW Edition
1. First not-totally-awful night's sleep in a couple weeks
2. Made a super-quick cord hook for under the bed yesterday, and it seems to have worked right off the bat
3. Pleasantly surprised at how many episodes of Count Duckula I had never seen before
Hello there...every day that I use Mastodon, I like to list three things that I like as a contribution towards a positive online space, as well as my own headspace. If you did this today, what would feature on your list?
01. Met and cuddled my niece's new baby
02. Was lent a curious book by a colleague
03. Had a nice dad chat about dad stuff with another dad
Hope whoever reads this can have a nice day.

#3GoodThings today.
1. I did an impressive amount of weeding, for me
2. I have appropriated a bedside-hanging-storage thing that the kids were no longer using, so now I have a handy place for remote controls and a book
3. Kids got out of the house for a bit
@LilHulkQ
Happy Friday to you too! Definitely focusing on the resistance material I post, my bagel and coffee, and my floofy cat this morning. #3goodthings
#ThreeGoodThings 1. Spent the morning with good people, 2. Restful afternoon, 3. Nice dinner, cooked by someone else, and a couple of glasses of wine. #3GoodThings
#3GoodThings
1. Husband's surgery went well
2. He got a reasonable amount of sleep last night
3. Nothing else in the house broke yet
I'm learning to be braver by expressing love and gratitude to my entire local community. Which is making others feel good, and in turn is making me feel good.
I volunteered at the food pantry yesterday and it really made me feel great.
Peppermint tea makes me hurt less and helps with digestion. Happy and grateful to have that.
#3GoodThings today:
1. Went to the Queen Vic Market this morning. Didn't get a single "mate" or "sir". Got one "darling". Which, granted, is gender-neutral. But it's affectionate, and entirely warranted, as I am a darling.
2. Getting better at email. Sent 3 today. Only one was unnecessarily loquacious. The other two were positively terse, though one was technically unnecessary. The other, though, got the job done. So proud!
3. When you're on an emotional rollercoaster all downs are temporary.
#3GoodThings @3goodthings
For today!
1. Went up to the corner shops to get some milk, and though it had been raining on and off all day, sometimes quite heavily, I was not rained on.
2. While at the corner shop, I did NOT buy chips or donuts, even though they were there right in front of me. Go me!
3. Parcels arrived today; three puzzle boxes (not three boxes of puzzles, no, these were hidden-latch kind of boxes). One of them I already knew how to open, one of them, I thought I knew but I realised they hadn't actually said how it worked, and the third one, I remembered you had to turn it upside down, but I'd forgotten the details. However, I was able to figure them all out, go me!
"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things." - Philippians 4:8
-enjoyed watching Curse of the Cat People and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)
-managed to avoid conversation with someone who has very opposite politics to mine and insists on talking about it
-have been getting back into my web design studies
#3goodthings @3goodthings
1. A van problem was not as serious as thought.
2. Time to read more books.
3. Human ingenuity. Telford's Bridge was constructed in Wales and brought to Moray in 1814. The design is elegant and imposing. People can do such amazing constructive things, it's a mystery why some folks decide to do the opposite. Destructive tendencies are never helpful. Things like this bridge are needed to remind us of what we can achieve if we work positively together.
My #3GoodThings for w/e July 11th, 2025.
1. Plenty of good work-things going on: progress and stuff
2. Eldest is off fort his DofE Silver Award (3 day) hike in the Peak District . Hope it's not as hot a predicted
3. Rare night away for me and Mrs H, just the two of us
#ThreeGoodThings #3goodthings
1) Found broken stuff to fix at work. I’m inordinately fond of finding broken stuff to fix at work.
2) One of my favorite #Aikido senior students was back in town to train for a bit.
3) One of my favorite of my spouse’s HS friends comes into town for the weekend tomorrow.
1. I had a nice outdoor lunch with a friend I see once a year or so, I enjoy spending time with her, and my banh mi sandwich was delicious.
2. I thought I ordered coriander oil, but received cardamom oil - - it's for ice cream, and will work - - I checked my order and it said "cardamom"... I made the ice cream base tonight and it smells very good. I will churn it tomorrow and layer in cooked raspberries..
3. My new dog Kali has come up with a nice way to watch the evening news--I call it "lap and nap" - - she hops onto my lap and we both doze off. She's a bit large for a lap dog at 38 lbs, but she is very cuddly.
#3GoodThings for Wednesday
Had a fun and productive writing day.
Performance efficiency at 90% (almost over my head cold)
Played BG3 with Patrick. I'm getting the hang of multiplayer mode.
