Kevin Bowen :xfce:<p>This past week, I commited myself to watching the 30 episode Chinese version of Liu Cixin's "The Three-Body Problem". </p><p>I'm about 10 episodes in and it's pretty enjoyable. Much more of a slow-burn, truer-ish to the book, detective story.</p><p>Having previously read the trilogy, I was a bit put off by the NetFlixification with the gaggle of 20-something geniuses. Keira (She/Her)<p>Ok, the third book in the series is even worse on gender stuff. </p><p>Now, not only are almost all women characters slender, beautiful, naive idiots, but also the world has "become feminised" which is code for stupid and soft, and it caused the downfall of human kind. WTAF man.</p><p>I'm probably still going to finish the book, because I want to know what happens to Mr space brain, but after this it seems I might be done with Cixin Liu.</p><p>I don't expect sci fi author men to get women "right", I barely expect them to include more than three of us in their entire universes.
