Dismantling an old Coolermaster midi tower case. Lots of nooks and crannies gunged up. Best tool for the job... a feather. Removed enough fluff to make a duvet.

Wow, govt and media have done a really good job convincing working people that working people don't deserve pay rises

Just been to an interview for volunteering role. Thinking of helping out in their code club. What they want of me is M$ support - Office/Sharepoint. Not my idea of fun!

What is it with people who think that photoshopping makeup onto a male face or a dress onto his body is a great way to insult someone? And what is it with all the people who think it's really really funny? Why is Putin and Trump with lipstick and eyeshadow so hilariously outrageous? I don't get it.

downforeveryone responded with it's own 500s for some of them, others it said were up. They're all 200 again after 10-15 mins. One site is struggling but nearly there.

LOL at local council's spin on their efforts to get us all to weed the pavements ourselves. Intentions were good, they dropped glyphosate, but the streets are so awful that crawling through the pollution and potholes to pull weeds was not popular with the masses. So they've announced that while the initiative failed to remove weeds it was highly successful in encouraging biodiversity!

As a freelancer I really hate "calendar invites". Every client, potential or associate uses a different tool and my email client cannot always "accept", often cannot insert into my own calendar and a lot of the time doesn't even show the "details". I simply can't have 4 or more calendar flavours on the go. Time zone differences don't always compute either. How about just a plain email that states the time and the time zone along with anything else I need to know?

Verdict tomorrow.

Win or lose, it's a dark day for press freedom in the UK.

Singling out a journalist from their news organisation and putting them on trial is not what happens in healthy, functioning democracies.

Replace every article about Elon Musk with an article about someone fixing/maintaining important infrastructure. A person repairing buses. A person repairing and tweaking wheelchairs. A person tending to a community garden.

Outrageous! Technologies distorting democracy! You know, like using the printing process and the internal combustion engine to mislead voters in a referendum by putting lies on the side of a bus, that sort of thing.

apparently my elderly neighbor has been maintaining a personal website about the history of UK photography and it is an incredible piece of work.

apparently he still uses some piece of adobe software from the 90s. there is so much care and effort here, and its such a pristine image of the early web being still updated 😭

Well this crystal under Manhattan that supposedly “dissolves negative energy” didn't seem to help the original inhabitants avoid handing over their prime real estate to a bunch of con artists. theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2
