Got auto-muted for 24h by #Facebook for replying "You're trash" to some transphobe who said they identified as a wet teabag.

I reported the comment to Facebook since it's a clear violation of their community guidelines. Their example for "dehumanizing" is that you can't compare people from a certain ethnic group to insects or animals. Then surely comparing trans people to wet teabags warrants a mute, right?

The dystopia is real.

we have a "remote work unless essential" mandate here in Montreal atm so my girlfriend is taking over my workspace for today and tomorrow while I figure out a way to use the old monitors we have here on my second PC to set her up for the next few weeks. probably gonna need VGA to DVI adapters.

@senzubean I use Ubuntu on an old 2010 Sony Vaio for school stuff. It went from an unusable mess with Windows to a perfectly decent laptop with Ubuntu. The learning curve isn't too steep either.

@error_1202@mspsocial.net I think that the TikTok community has done a lot recently to raise awareness about image description, subtitling and closed captions, but there's still a lot of work to be done.

I used to have an anonymous account on Fosstodon (does that server still exists?) cause I was working on Mastodon for a seminar, but instead of handing my final essay I broke down cause I was starting HRT at the same time and it was too much. still ended up with a B- for the course because that prof was probably non-binary too lol
