There ought to be a paid service out there for transferring your laptop stickers from an old machine to a new. I'd pay good money to retain access to this chunk of history...

Anyway, today I'm switching laptops and moving this baby to storage, so here's a tribute thread to the stickers you see on the photo.

Ride in peace: this one (and the little square photo of tandem riders) came with my cycling jacket from Mova Cycling. I think this was one of the first Kickstarters I supported - still got the jacket, and still subscribe to the motto :)

London Cycling Campaign - the sticker came with the membership. I'm not sure if I'm still a paid member...certainly don't cycle much in London any more.

GNU sticker - came with the laptop. This one was/is a Libreboot machine - the stickers came in handy as I quickly proceeded to scuff the lid... :blobderpy:

Radio Wroclove - 2009/10. 's first 24/7 English-speaking radio station online. If you tuned in on a certain weekday morning, you could hear me host the morning show. Chaos. Pure amazing chaos. The sticker is the only thing left of the project, I think 😆

Grinduro! - this was from an Isle of Arran edition, 2016? 2018? Grinduro is a cycling party/festival/gravel race, and it's now available in different parts of the globe. Going to this year's edition in next month, can't wait.

Blue/green wave/tree - if you're into , you now know I'm a player, and this is the moment you judge me. :)

"NIY MA LEKKO" - this is for "though sh*t / no pain no gain".

(bottom row)

Rapanui - came with a T-shirt purchase, another useful sticker to hide lid damage.

GPL - came with the laptop.

Little orange one - this one was a piece of guerrilla marketing we did for our English tutoring + translation company - me and my future wife's, that is! Good luck finding anything at the URL. We've moved on from that idea, but still have a bunch of these stickers - they're slightly embarrassing, but hey, that's how it all started :D

That's all, folks :D 🧵 (5/5)
