In my observation, this is particularly common in rural parts of eastern Germany and correlates strongly with right-wing extremism - aka fundamental stupidity
@Strawanzen @mbirth @stux @tantramar checks out, my neighbour here in germany is a neonazi, prussia war flag, kkk stickers and all that and he's obsessed with e. g. Dodge cars. He has that one with the weird flat front (I was unable to figure out what car that is).
Being a german nationalist and buying a non-german car and making a point out of it... i really don't understand that
My old man used to sell me his old Yank Tank Caprices. All my city friends used to ask me to take them shopping at grocery stores in the suburbs.
