@stux
How is it federated? I tried searching a link of a post here but it didn't come up.
@liaizon Yesterday I disabled the federation plugins for now, there are some problems that I need to fix first :)
@stux Dude this is awesome, I love it
@stux Got a few questions, actually. If you want to answer them, please do.
> Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Which automated spam detection service is this?
What service do you use for analytics?
Would you be interested in automatically stripping location data from images' metadata?
Have you considered using an open-source alternative to Gravatar, or perhaps allow users to link their GIFWY profile to their Mastodon profile? Then perhaps you could sync the avatar from their Mastodon account.
> These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking,
What service is used for 'tracking'?
> This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Are you permitted to talk about this data you are obliged to store?

A few technical suggestions / questions:
Have you considered placing a link to the source code repository on the GIFWY website?
Does GIFWY use ActivityPub?
@resynth1943 I'll try and awser them all 🙂
> Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
>> Users need to be logged in before comments.
> What service do you use for analytics?
>> None! :)
> Would you be interested in automatically stripping location data from images' metadata?
>> Great idea! That's a must indd, not thought about that.
>Have you considered using an open-source alternative to Gravatar,
>> I'm still working on that yes, al must be open source
@stux Haha, open source rules! I do think you should consider letting users link to some sort of ActivityPub account (if that's a thing, I need to do some reading... it would probably be even cooler if users could use any account on any ActivityPub instance though)
@resynth1943 Let me enable the plugins ;-)
@administrator Sure thing! I have already something for that. It downloads the Google fonts local to the server 😄
@administrator That’s the idea indd 😃 Keep it all on the same server, faster and less spying from companies

>> That would be wordpress.com for the plugin to work. But I think about disabling this sicne it has no value..
> This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Are you permitted to talk about this data you are obliged to store?
>> This would be IP addresses. IF a users was to post malicious stuff I can ban them from the server.
Have you considered placing a link to the source code repository on the GIFWY website?
>> I'm not sure about the platform yet since it's WordPress. It's cool and suff but not 'decicated' as I like to see it!
Does GIFWY use ActivityPub?
>> Yes, currently I have disabled the plugin since it doesn't work full yet
