Now that's a pull request worth following if I ever saw one
https://github.com/mozilla/bedrock/pull/16054
> Restore "Does Firefox sell your personal data?" entry within structured-data-firefox-faq.html
@rysiek any browser recommendations for us moving away from Firefox after this?
@theearthisapringle @rysiek libre Wolf maybe?
@theearthisapringle @szpon @rysiek I never had issues with Librewolf myself and prefer it but I guess you could also try Waterfox. It has a similar goal to Librewolf but on the ESR builds of Firefox so in theory it should be more stable I guess, just make sure to change the search engine cuz they got a deal with Bing.
@rysiek "no, we 𝒃𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒓 your personal data for 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏. That is totally different from selling."
@rysiek thankfully it seems there was a stray number in their html file that accidentally removed that question, it was a quick fix and got approved just now: https://github.com/mozilla/bedrock/pull/16054#pullrequestreview-2652809473
@curiousdynamics I will wait with celebrating until it is merged
The stray numbers are an error in the PR linked, not in the original change.
Mozilla explained the rationale for the change in their new FAQ, yelling “hey bring the old one back” in PRs seems entirely couterproductive, verging on abusive:
