We do have a go-to open decentralized social networking protocol now. And it's actually breaking into the mainstream. And also: I would definitely not use some of terms I had used in that slide deck today.
@rysiek @heluecht @atomicpoet @axbom @darnell Yeah, things are so much in a better state than they were then. Obviously, there's lots more to be done. But, since you two were some of the people from "existing decentralized social applications" who gave the most feedback on activitypub, you know how hard it was to convince people that getting a unified protocol would be possible at all. Progress!
