Because to me <display everything in chronological order except if in contains words from list xy> technically sounds like the description of an algorithm, even if it’s a fairly simple one.

@hackerjunkie @robby One could even argue that it’s even more effective than the algorithms of Facebook and Twitter, because they are not optimized for creating a long term addictive relationship, but rather to maximize the users screen time/advertising value. That creates a suboptimal experience and reappearing frustration, whereas on the Feediverse users have full control over the parameters of the algorithm and can optimize them according to their needs.
