Is anyone in the DC metro area a member of Calphalon's Terracycle program. It accepts pans from other companies and I have 2 for recycling which are scratched and should not be used. I was put on a waiting list for the program and 2 pans might not be enough. So if I can add my pans to someone else's that would be ideal. #terracycle #calphalon #recycling
So I’m learning more about https://www.terracycle.com/en-US/. They have a variety of programs sponsored by various companies. You can find a play to recycle Bic pens. Subaru dealership accept cup lids, coffee pods, straws and other items for recycling. I will look into it because I don’t know how much of the plastics I recycle through my county actually get recycled, perhaps more targeted programs perform better? Anyone have any data?
@paulc Have done a couple things with them but not sure about raw data. I’d be super interested, especially with their “recycle everything” boxes. I’ll see what I can find. I think targeted programs probably do as opposed to local. Though it must depend on facilities.
