It's interesting to see Annette Hurst, who was co-leader of the Orrick team representing #Oracle in their landmark case against Google, now representing #Microsoft and #GitHub as defendants in a class action lawsuit about #Copilot.

She wrote this opinion piece on LinkedIn after the jury verdict in 2016, saying:
"This jury's verdict suggests that such restrictions are now meaningless, since disregarding them is simply a matter of claiming 'fair use.'"
