So #ScummVM is available on some very constrained platforms, N64 (!) being probably the lowest, but not #Amiga 500/600 (OCS). AFAICG the issue is that ScummVM only works with original files and doesn’t downsample content(?), the #PSP port can’t play SVGA games, for example. If the content were pre-processed for the target platform could a 7MHz Amiga 500 reasonably run ScummVM?
@kroc my guess is the lower spec scumm games might be playable, but you'd need to do hand optimised 68000 and amiga specific planar routines to play most of the library, and later games would have no chance.
@Lumpbucket Yeah, it’s probably less of a logic problem as it is how to generically move graphics about on 4/5 bitplanes for any type of game. You can’t just compile the C for that
