Last week I read about a great web front-end for Mastodon but I can't remember what it's called.

Can you help me out?

@kfury it might have been me talking about Phanpy, which is now my dedicated app on both desktop and mobile, the only PWA that’s ever replaced a native iPhone app for me phanpy.social/

@andybaio It probably was you! I’m going to give it a try.

@andybaio Phanpy is freaking awesome. Thank you for the rec!

Now I need them to make an iOS app.

@kfury I use it instead of a native app! It’s that good!

@andybaio @kfury did you see the new Catch-up feed?

@kfury not positive about iOS but Phanpy works great as a PWA on my Android phone.

@andybaio
Does phanpy save timeline position for you between openings?

It didn’t for me when I tried it.

@andybaio I just meant remembering where it was on that single client. I’ve given up on anyone doing the markers thing and working cross client.

But I prefer that a client remembers where I was when I come back to it. There are only a few that do this really well.

@amd it seems like it remembers when i come back to it quickly (it shows a “New Posts” message but starts from where I left off), but otherwise just starts at the top with the latest messages. There’s an issue for that too github.com/cheeaun/phanpy/issu
