@jalefkowit my take on it is “baby steps”. Safe ones. See, AI writing and art is “everything to gain and nothing to lose.” If it churns out crap that’s only good for a laugh, ok, refine the model. Notning gets broken and nobody is physically hurt, albeit possibly offended.
If you’re going to apply it to something like shipbreaking where expensive robots could get destroyed, and the people they are assisting could get killed… you want it to be near flawless.
@Coyote @jalefkowit@octodon.social You may be forgetting the power of the pen. It's a mistake to let #mindless #machines do our #thinking and #dreaming for us. They can't think, much less make moral or ethical decisions. To pretend they can just devalues human thought and emotion. If we let it, their art will turn us into them -- mindless machines chasing the next dollar for our very survival.
