Why the F would I be trying to undermine Mastodon?

I've spent most of my spare time since 2020 trying to get more people onto Mastodon, and still am.
It's not that I want to harm Mastodon, it's that I'm worried money from Meta would harm Mastodon.
I would like Eugen to make clear that they haven't taken any money from Meta.
