@MettEagle @Micha_Silver @feditips Do you find that the official app is slow to load?Sometimes I open the app and drag it to refresh then leave it open, go do some things and check back to see if it’s refreshed. It often doesn’t refresh for over 24 hours. I’ve even switched instances and still have the same problem.

Have you tried a third party app to see if this solves the problem?

Is it the Android or iOS version of the official app that does this?

@feditips @MettEagle @Micha_Silver I’m using the ios version. Neither app updates nor ios updates have improved the problem. I did try Ivory but I stopped using it before the end of the 7-day trial. It was still early in my twitter escape and I was struggling with the differences btwn the platforms.

Try Ice Cubes, see if that has an effect?

(I'm guessing though that problem may be at the server level in which case app would not make a difference).

It may be a software problem at the server level. Your account data is stored on the server you signed up on, which in your case runs Mastodon software.

I'm not aware of this issue anywhere to be honest. That's why I'm curious to know if there is any connection between the blocked accounts you can see.

@feditips To refine my question, I switched to using my laptop and everything seems to load instantly. I looked at my phone and the notifications for this convo hadn't updated yet. Only your initial response had come through there. So annoying.

In that case the problem probably isn't on the server.

Hopefully changing to a different app might help?
