You can connect WordPress blogs to the Fediverse by using the ActivityPub plugin:

This is a great asset for users of both Mastodon and WP. However, it would be helpful to let people know that in order to use plug-ins on WordPress, you need to upgrade to the business tier . Not everyone is willing/able to add that $300/yr to their budget.

You don't need to use in order to use WordPress, they're two separate things.

Lots of hosting companies offer plugin-compatible WordPress sites for just a few dollars a month, which includes installation and software updates.

Thank you! I was unaware. I use the main wordpress site for my writing site and was unaware of other options when I went to try to use the plug-in.
