Do you have a WordPress Blog?

Did you know you can connect it to the Fediverse so that people on Mastodon can follow you and comment on your posts?

It works through the WordPress ActivityPub plugin:

wordpress.org/plugins/activity

(You may also be able to find this by searching for "ActivityPub" in the plugins section of your WordPress blog)

If you have any comments or questions, the plugin's developer is on the Fediverse at @pfefferle

@feditips @pfefferle I'm interested in the WordPress ActivityPub plugin to connect my WordPress account to my Mastodon account. But... I don't actually understand what the plugin does. Can you help me out there? I'm not good with technical explanations, I'm afraid.

If you install the plugin on your blog, it will give your blog a Fediverse address that people can follow from Mastodon, Friendica etc.

For example, the plugin's developer has a blog at @pfefferle@notiz.blog

It means your blog posts will appear on the Fediverse (just like any other post), and people will be able to comment, like them, share them etc. They will also be able to follow your blog from within the Fediverse just like following any other account.
