Ente is now fully #opensource!
You can find the source to our apps and SERVER @ https://github.com/ente-io/ente
Thank YOU for helping us get this far!

@ente Thank you so much for your work!
And keep up the amazing transparency. This is really the best way to keep a community interested and show of what is going on!
Big for building this E2EE-first, especially since other solutions do not focus on that part.
Also love the cute duck!
@ente really awesome to see this! i signed up and am super impressed.
curious though - why is ente auth in the same repo as photos? shouldn't they be separate since they're totally different?
@mr_rustbot we've adopted a mono-repo model since all apps share the same server :)
@ente wow thats great news. this looks really slick. is there an open demo I can login to to try it out?
@liaizon we don't have a demo account, but you could check out our cloud service @ web.ente.io :)
@ente congratulations and THANK YOU! Have been following along with Enter for the past couple years. The work you all do is amazing and sorely needed. And the fact that you continue to champion open source is both incredibly generous and speaks to the team and culture at Ente. Just signed up for one of your subscription plans after seeing this. Excited to see what is next for Ente - THANK YOU again!
#OpenSource #selfhosted
@ente
Awesome, I'm trying it for at least a month's worth of subscription specifically because of this. The option to eventually migrate is worth so much to me
@ente Phenomenal! This has shown me once again that I am supporting a great and trustworthy project.
@ente @stux When I first saw the cost for the hosted version I thought hmm that doesn't seem particularly cheap, but now I've read how the data is stored I can see why.
Might have to look into the server further and see if I can configure it to do something like keep one copy local and another remote.
@ente Awesome! Currently testing a local setup!
