The admin has been tripling down on accusing the man they illegally deported of being a dangerous gang member. DHS even circulated a mug shot of him from 2019 when he was arrested for wearing a Chicago Bulls cap (because apparently that could be a gang member sign 😳). Mr. Garcia was not charged with any crime.

Homeland Security on Wednesday circulated a 2021 restraining order Abrego Garcia's wife petitioned for in Maryland, where they lived. The order said Abrego Garcia punched and scratched her. The agency also released a mug shot and 2019 arrest record saying he was apprehended in a Chicago Bulls hat, which the police officer said was a possible symbol of MS-13. "The real story," DHS wrote. His wife disagrees. "That is not a justification for ICE's action of abducting him and deporting him to a country where he was supposed to be protected from deportation, " Jennifer Vasquez Sura said.
