Everyone has reusables. The new app helps you use them.

I’m on a team turning the U.S. more reusable friendly. We asked people why they don’t use the reusables they already own and the top answer was not knowing where to use them.

BYO launched in and we're looking for more waste warriors to help us map reusable-friendly businesses nationwide.

Boosts welcome! The iPhone app is out now and Android is pending Google review.

.@codybrom : Love this idea!

I'm always surprised by how few people know that they can refill their own water containers at refill stations in Walmart, Publix, Kroger (and more?) stores, in USA. The multi-filtering machines are provided/maintained by 3rd party vendors (e.g., Primo). Cost >= $0.35/gal., IME.

All the machines that I encounter allow refilling of the large 5 gal. bottles, as well.

.@codybrom : Whole Foods stores usually have refill stations as well, with even more water type choices (e.g., alkaline). Also, Co-Ops tend to have them, as well.

Whole Foods usually sells 1 gal. glass jugs, too. They can be pricey. Met a lady refilling there once who said she bought some 1 gal. jug 'cheap' wine on sale, just to get those nice glass bottles with handle. #LifeHacks
