I don’t care about the huge financial penalties. 18 months in prison is a joke for a crime of this magnitude. It’s the maximum suggested sentence for one of the biggest corporate money laundering schemes in U.S. history. A black woman was sentenced to 6 years for trying to register to vote without knowing she was ineligible. Shameful.
