Speaking of Adobe chicanery, here's the very detailed graphic chart made by @xdanielArt of alternatives to #Adobe products. Many are #free and #OpenSource.
@_L1vY_ @xdanielArt Aha! I have been looking for a Bridge alterrnative! I have a huge trove of images from my late dad's files and I need to find all the duplicated images, some of which have different names. XnView MP!
#adobe #FOSS
@Nonya_Bidniss @_L1vY_ @xdanielArt check out czkawka it’s a fantastic app for that exact purpose.
@_L1vY_ @xdanielArt Ardour is a one time purchase for windows. Free for linux.
@_L1vY_ @xdanielArt I'm surprised the chart does not have GIMP on it.
@MaryHilton @_L1vY_ @xdanielArt It's the very first one

Ever since Bluebeam stopped offering Revu (a really great PDF makeup tool) with a perpetual license, I've been looking for an alternative that also allows you to flatten AND UNflatten your doc. So far, no luck!

Does any Photographer *really* consider switching from Lr to any of the Alternative?
@_L1vY_@mstdn.social @xdanielArt@mastodon.gamedev.place Take a look to veenk.org and contribuye for more alternatives
@_L1vY_ @xdanielArt I have used Sumatra as a free pdf reader for a few years. You can't do much with it except read, but I prefer not to use Adobe products.
Also, a plug for Gimp as an alternative to photoshop and its descendants

Excellent, thank you for that, SO might appreciate this.
@_L1vY_ @xdanielArt #Blender has really nice video editing capabilities. I use it instead of Davinvi Resolve.
@_L1vY_ @xdanielArt I can vouch for digiKam (photography) and Kdenlive (video editing).
@_L1vY_ @xdanielArt DigiKam is more like Bridge than Lightroom.
@_L1vY_ @xdanielArt Thanks for this. I was looking for a Lightroom replacement and found RawTherapee on the list which works great on Linux.
@_L1vY_ @xdanielArt don't forget to swap #coldFusion with #lucee
