Thank you for this! Moving, brilliant, thought-provoking. 
I used to sit in church and read this story in the Bible and I would giggle so much my mom would pinch my leg.
As a result, I love all depictions of Judith taking Holofernes' head.
The Gentileschi is my favorite, though.
