If Patel's statue cost ₹3000 crore, just imagine how much this government created temple is going to cost, and also how much HCP Design will make off of it. The Patel statue could've funded noon-meals in UP for 22,321,428 children for one school year. Some priorities.

What the Ram Mandir judgment means for Indian politics

*Completes Hindu nationalism’s ascent as India’s ruling ideology
*Cements Muslim marginalisation
*Allows Modi government a breather from the economy
*Opens up the BJP’s core agenda

So three findings emerge:

1. That the 1949 installation of idols was illegal
2. That the 1992 demolition was illegal.
3. No evidence that Babri masjid was build by *demolishing* a temple.

Who is the wronged and who is the wrongdoer again?

Let's get something clear...

The exodus from Twitter is not because of Trolls. Those were easily handled. The problem was that Twitter was being paid by the Govt to turn a blind eye to the radicalisation of the Majority community.

The exodus is not in fear but in disgust.

I'm back. Had been locked out of my account, but got access again.

Thank you for your support, everyone, really means a lot.

Hope @Twitter@twitter.com @TwitterIndia@twitter.com gets their act together - no reasons have been given to me as yet why this happened.

11. BIG BREAKING on :

Entry doors open for court of the Chief Justice of India. The five judge bench will pronounce the in a few minutes.

There is some empathetic laden schadenfreude in watching the “educated” Modi supporters (meaning who should have known better) like Pratap Bhanu Mehta, @rupasubramanya, and the assorted US-based economists realize their follies. We’ve all been there (I once supported VP Singh too lol). But it’s difficult to have sympathy for Tavleen because hers was not ideological - it was a personal vendetta against Sonia that drove her to Modi. And she kept defending him unconditionally till this year!

Travesty of justice happens everyday in our country. People are pushed to the margins w/ apathy & injustice. We have reached a point where injustice is actively perpetuated.

Look at the lived experienced of the marginalized communities:caste, class, religion, gender.

Look at how the NE is forgotten.

In June 2019, nearly 150 children died preventable deaths due to a fever. All for lack of access.

Kashmir has been classified as the world's largest militarized zone.

Just saying.

Public service announcement :

2. Criticism presupposes critical analysis. Get the copy of the judgement. Analyse it, provided, you have the skill set.

3. Or wait for the legal eagles to break it for you. Read their critique.

4. Then post your take on SM platforms.

5. Don't jump the gun.

6. Posting inflammatory content / response is a crime.

8. Posting abuses hurled at Judges is contemptuous 1/2

@Gargron Hey, since this instance now has thousands of Indian users with heavy engagement, can you please also add casteism to this point?
