Well, there goes Bret Baier’s already tiny reputation for being one of the few journalists in the room at Fox.
‘“We are still getting bombarded,” Mr. Baier said. “It became really hurtful.” He said projections were not enough to call a state when it would be so sensitive. “I know the statistics and the numbers, but there has to be, like, this other layer” so they could “think beyond, about the implications.”’ #journalism https://www.nytimes.com/2023/03/04/us/politics/panic-fox-news-2020-election.html
Bret Baier remained with Fox News after the Bill O'Reilly and Roger Ailes sexual abuse scandals.
So did Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingram.
There is no depth of depravity too low for Fox News.

@Npars01 OK, but O’Reilly and Ailes were fired.
Fox News fired Ailes & Bill O'Reilly after shielding them for years.
Fox News paid out settlements to silence victims for years, yet kept employing both for years.
Bret Baier and others were aware of the scandal for years and stayed.
Principled people don't stay with corporations that hide predatory abuse.
Yes, there were consequences eventually but Fox News staff didn't do anything to speed those consequences along.
@Npars01 @dankennedy_nu now they’re worth so much $$ that any fine resulting from the Dominion lawsuit is next to nothing for them. They’ll find some other manufactured non-story to keep their viewers pissed off.
Fox News might survive a single lawsuit but it may not survive a series of lawsuits.
It has shareholder class actions in the works. Fox News hosts used company resources to plot a coup & didn't include it in its quarterlies..
Fox News might be sued by former members Congress or their staff, Capitol police, Ashley Bobbit's family, Jan 6 insurrectionists, agencies like the FEC, Smartmatic, the board of directors ...

@Npars01 I noticed that you are boosting your own toots immediately. What does that do?
I'm seeking feedback.
My understanding is that if you don't boost, only your followers see your post.
This made sense when I had 3 followers but is probably annoying the heck out of them now.
@Npars01 That is partly correct. Your posts are also visible to people who are looking at their federated feeds a.k.a. the fire hose. Self boosting has no effect on that at all. And I hope it stays that way because I do not want to start seeing toots in my feed from people I don’t follow or have not been boosted by people I do.
