Already hearing problems about those who were already here are bothering new people over CONTENT WARNING tags. I understand if for violence and nudity, but for politics/food/religion/etc?? They're also telling people to add alt text to pictures too. How about you mind your own business! You can't tell political-leaning people to put content warning tags on everything they say here. I'd understand for a smaller niche community, but larger general established communities are GENERAL in topics.
These aren't the server owners either. It's the whiners and complainers already whining and complaining about anyone new coming here. Many came here to get away from the harassment on Twitter, and away from the censoring and dictatorship of those who refuse to get lives of their own who don't mind their own business. I've also read how many from Black Twitter are being harassed here too about not putting content warning tags. Don't read their timelines!!
In order for those on Twitter you follow to find you, you have to place somewhere on your Twitter bio your Mastodon link. There are tools being used now to help you find your Twitter followers here on Mastodon. For example:
Either place your Mastodon url link in your Twitter bio, or the way this highlighted in yellow appears.
Either of those two examples can also be used in the Explore search when finding new people to add.
