#WhyWeCannotHaveNiceThings - Just got a #PHEV and pulled into a Park & Ride garage. I noticed it had about a dozen charging stations and thought I’d give one a try.
While attempting to figure out how to use it I noticed that its cable was missing, as were all of the other stations’. Someone looking to score a few $$ at a scrap yard destroyed this community resource in a few minutes.
If I’d been down to my last few watts of juice on a pure #EV I’d have been screwed.
@JYeo18 Wait, were they cut? A lot of park&ride and other slow (11/22 kW) chargers don't have their own cables, you have to bring your own Type2.
@skolima Oh, they were definitely cut. On at least one of them the plug was still in its holster. Good to know about bringing one’s own cable, though.
My suggestion would be to have the cables secured behind a door that would unlatch once the driver had paid.
