@GottaLaff The Democratic Senators value their privilege over their obligations to their constituents. To them, their office is a prize, not something to be used to further the good of the people who elected them.
So far there appear to be 2 Dems saying they will vote for cloture. That's not "The Democratic Senators", that's exactly two.

@GottaLaff from the outside I’m convinced by now that a big part of the democrats are fine with the fascism of the republicans as they are gaining from it as well. Any semblance of opposition is just to make it seem like there is an actual choice.
It makes sense though as liberals all over the world tend to side with fascists.
I really wish there was a left wing party in the us…

@mastodonmigration @GottaLaff I’m bothered that she makes no attempt to unify. The language feels slanted. Very similar to her attacks on Pelosi that turned out to be wrongheaded. I’m not saying this is the right choice but to present it as though it’s just capitulation instead of a calculated risk just doesn’t feel right. The propagandists are doing a full court press to demonize Dems & they rarely side on the correct side. I’d put money that in their TLs is an I can’t vote for Harris post..
I think we need to start recall elections on a lot of these people in congress.
