If passed, the bill mandates that Mayor Bowser rename Black Lives Matter Plaza or lose fed $ for the District.
The bill says District would have to rename the two-block stretch of 16th Street Northwest Liberty Plaza, update all government websites and documents with the new name, and cover up the Black Lives Matter mural that currently blankets the street"

@MissConstrue @GottaLaff I passed through there once on my way to a camp on the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene. My big hint about the local politics was that there was an "Ammon Bundy for Governor" sign in pretty much every yard. Say what you want about the politics, though, Lake Cd'A is one stunningly gorgeous piece of scenery.
