@GottaLaff It's too bad that not everyone who needs to buy things to survive votes. Because you would think something like being able to afford things would matter to them.

@profdc9 @GottaLaff I don't like blaming victims. They purposely make it difficult for people to vote, in many places, and everywhere else there are profound propaganda attacks on potential voters.

@GottaLaff Yeah, but he was going to make your neighborhood all White again!

Somehow. Despite that U.S. culture simply is not that way anymore. It just isn't.

Even though J. D. Vance himself is "guilty" of "miscegenation".

It boggles the mind. There is actually no achieving what all this is supposed to achieve. Of course a lying fraud like Vance is riding the wave, but some actual neo-Nazi types famously saw right through it and loudly rejected Trump this time when he chose Vance.

@GottaLaff You would think they'd have seen through it the first time, when the deportations were led by an olive skinned Middle Easterner. But, then, they have their myth that Jews are not actually Middle Easterners but some kind of demon spawn from the Caucasus.

@GottaLaff

Down by a steep 10% from January.

“While sentiment fell for both Democrats and Independents, it was unchanged for Republicans"

So Republicans have yet to wake up.

@kralcttam @GottaLaff

>> So Republicans have yet to wake up.

You know Republicans will never be woke! 🤣

@GottaLaff
Don't forget rapist cause now everyone is getting financially fucked involuntarily.

@GottaLaff

Every day, Trump's betrayals of his voters and his country become more and more clear to more and more people.

TRUMP REPUBLICANS:
Screwing you, enriching billionaires, betraying America

• Price-hiking tariffs
• Tax breaks for billionaires
• Pardons for violent criminals
• Job-killing halts to infrastructure projects
• Corrupt turnover of power and private data to Musk
• Cuts to healthcare, consumer protection, and education

@DemDifference Please broaden that out to "Republicans and Trump" because it's Republican MOC who could flip all this around.

They get as much blame

@GottaLaff

Good suggestion. I've changed "Trump II" here to "Trump Republicans," and I've previously used "Trump GOP" in a number of posts over at Bluesky (where character limit is stricter) in response to posts about the congressional budget debate.

One caveat: though it's helpful to add "Republican" in many contexts, sometimes the crisper messaging will focus just on Trump, and that's okay. It will also impact Rs (just as GOP attacks on Biden impacted Ds).

@DemDifference Oh, absolutely ... it depends on the post.

@GottaLaff there are those who will never regret their vote - they’ll blame Democrats in their stupid minds or listen to news outlets that do. The real issue is the % of people that tell themselves that elections don’t matter- they’re above it or it doesn’t affect their day to day. And yet it does- this is it.

@Danetteb @GottaLaff And yet, the first ones to whine are the idiots who voted for this mess, followed by the ones who didn't bother to vote or threw it away "on principle."

@Danetteb The number of those who will never regret their vote is small. We're targeting the rest.

@GottaLaff
Every day I can just repeat myself...

If only someone had warned Trump voters this was going (not might) to happen.

@Wileymiller @GottaLaff

Oh so many of us did, every day for months and months

@Wileymiller @GottaLaff “Every bit of evidence said it would happen, and experts in every field told us it would happen, but we didn’t think it would *happen*.”

- Millions of voters, literally

@Wileymiller It doesn't matter. Warnings come from libs. Libs are the enemy.

@GottaLaff

I seem to recall an unprecedented number of Republicans and hundreds of economists giving those warnings.

@Wileymiller They're all clearly libs.

@GottaLaff

One thing I can absolutely guarantee is that the ones who say, "liberal", as a slur don't know the dictionary definition of the word. I always ask them to look it up in any dictionary, then tell me why they're so afraid of people who are described as such.

Of course, that's when they say the dictionary is written liberals.

@Wileymiller I do that too, but get the same stupid answer

@Wileymiller @GottaLaff I grew up in Minnesota with Paul Wellstone as one of my senators for a good part of my formative years. His book “Conscience of a Liberal” is still on my shelf, and I still view it as a guide star.

@mwyman I still miss that guy. What a horror story. @Wileymiller
