I can't help but agree with you. But already the Yoon onslaught has started; they can smell the demise of Holyrood in their water. The past year was all about Brexit for the SNP and whilst that had to be addressed could they not have been a bit more focused on Indy? On the currency, the legislation?
'Just think...England and Wales have no option. There is no choice. No trade deal, jobs going from UK to Europe, no EU subsidies, nothing.
All they have is each other to shout at when they realise that German doctor, the polish cleaners, the Dutch anaesthetist are all away.
Scotland has a choice and has hope.'

So, this is a bit of a hobby of mine.
When I'm at work I sit and "doodle" normally pictures of me and ma dawg. Sometimes something a bit more serious (the homeless pic)
I don't sell them, I post them up on my village's FB page when I do the weather / road report in the morning. Or on my own instagram page.
I see mastodon as something quite extraordinary and wonder if the people on mastodon.scot would be interested in seeing these as well.
In 'The Works' yesterday, I happened to notice that they are selling a picture book called 'Oh Boris' (a book of colourful cartoons, dedicated to the amusing antics of Boris Johnson). Although this book predates Brexit, I would love to know when it was re-stocked and re-distributed in their stores. Before or after the GE? Anyone know? 🤔
@GracieP I dont class this as cosy debate. If I think the SNP are failing us or letting us down I will say so. For me this is another instance where the SNP dont really get social media. They know they have a problem within the party but dont do anything about it. They remove staunch Nationalists on the behest of the woke Brigade. To me the SNP are copying Labour handbook and will shoot themselves in the head by making the same mistakes. They cant even get twitter right!!
@Meindyforever @Newburghgowfer for instance, my heart sank when I read newly re-elected Tommy Sheppard writing about being "ready to spend the next five years reminding PM Johnson ....". If SNP MPs are happy to make speeches in Westminster as a permanently outvoted minority, rather than active leaders of Scottish secession from Westminster, them things are looking grim for our country.
Did another experiment. Created an innocuous looking Twitter account ( no indication by name etc. as to and political leanings ). Followed a single account ( official 10 Downing Street). Within a day started to get recommendations for people like Darren Grimes, Britain First accounts, and other nasty accounts in the underbelly of far right English nationalism and Brexit. Seem clear that the algorithms have aligned the UK government with far right views. #indyref2
Anyone who believes schemers in London can do better for the people of Scotland than Scots in Edinburgh hasn’t been paying attention—for a very long time.
It is very hard to understand how Scots can support the Union. It’s out of comfort, ignorance, fear, or greed because it can’t be from a clear-eyed look at the facts and logic of the Union.
The only other explanation is that they truly “feel British” and to them Scottish is the same as being from Liverpool.
But that’s not good enough.
