The most powerful volcanic eruption in the south of Iceland: a state of emergency DECLARED Sunday

Authorities are evacuating residents of the town of Grindavik and the nearby Blue Lagoon, one of Iceland's main attractions. There were between 500 and 600 people in the area at the time of the eruption.
