Birbcam is up! I put it out because it's sunny today after some wild heavy rain last night, but there's also a huge dark cloud overhead XD
A female and male Malay Baron (Euthalia monina) spotted at Admiralty Park, Singapore, on 3 May 2022. Both were busy feeding on the fallen fruit at that spot, ignoring the humans taking photos of them.
They are common forest butterflies, and like feeding on the juices of fallen fruit.

@stux@mstdn.social Fun fact, to spell i in English sounds as ei => Ei in German is a egg.
Happy to spot the Dark Blue Jungle Glory (Thaumantis klugius) at Upper Seletar Reservoir Park on 15 May 2022. I last saw one two years ago.
This forest butterfly is well camouflaged against the forest floor, but in flight, brilliant flashes of blue can be seen from the upperside of the wings, like the American Morpho butterflies.
