@Annekin ...This strikes me as sadly ripe for backfiring.
Not only are protections for whistleblowers in the US historically questionable, but part of DOGE's modus operandi seems to be vacuuming up data.
Good intentions for sure, but strikes me as another case of "the system is working well enough to actually finally start using it against these villains, right?"
@pteryx I don't think they mean Whistle-blowers in the Edward Snowden sense. I think it's more of colloquialism to cover anyone working in federal government (or the dark side) who wants to anonymously (which I imagine is an option) share inside information.
